Paedophiles are using AI to transform real photos of children into sexualised images, shocking report reveals
Paedophiles are using the online AI image generator, Midjourney, to create sexualised images of real children, a Times investigation has found. The platform, which uses prompts to generate realistic images, has been used to create fake images of celebrities, such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian. Midjourney claims its content is “PG-13 and family-friendly”, but its users go to great lengths to create explicit deepfake images of minors and upload them to a public gallery. Discord is used as a communication platform to exchange prompts. The explicit content discovered by the Times breaches both Midjourney’s and Discord’s terms of use.
